Greyhound Invitational Kicks Off |

The 2008 Greyhound Invitational kicked off at the Hound Pound with the Holy Innocents Bears facing the Providence Christian Academy Stars at 5:30. The Bears dominated the scoring with goals by O'Neal Wanliss, Michael Bird, and Thomas Savage, resulting in a 3-0 victory. The second match of the evening between the Pope Greyhounds and North Springs Spartans kicked off at approximately 7:30 but was stopped because of lightning at the 33:44 mark in the first half with the Greyhounds leading 1-0 off the foot of Dan Kuegemann. Saturday's schedule will be adjusted in order to accomodate both the weather postponement as well as other events scheduled at Holy Innocents on Saturday evening.Pope and North Springs will resume their match at 1:00 on Saturday. The winner will then play Holy Innocents at 3:00 and the final match will kick off at approximately 5:00.ATTN: To our tournament visitors - the calendar items under the "Latest Events" module above do not appear in chronological order for a given day. GV 2 - Roswell 1The Lady Greyhounds finished their regular season with a region win over Roswell. Down 0-1 at halftime, Kaitlyn Jones' free kick was headed in by Mikaela Steinwedell at 15:08 in the second half. After a ten minute overtime the score was still knotted 1-1. Pope prevailed in PKs 4-3 to claim the victory.BV 1 - Roswell 0In the second match of the evening, the Boys Varsity scored in the first half when Philipp Lindenlaub ran on a ball played by Tyler Barcelli and placed it just inside the right post. The BV plays again when the Greyhound Invitational kicks off on Friday, April 11 at 7:30. |

Boys JV Completes Successful Season |

The Boys JV completed a very successful season with a 4-2 victory over the Roswell Hornets on Wednedsay night. David Levinson enjoyed another 'hat trick', getting started with an assist from Tim Piper. Benji Rohde also scored off a Lucas Lindenlaub corner kick. The win brings the JV 2008 season record to 10-2-1. Congratulations Greyhounds! |
