In conjunction with a disappointing lack of scoring, the Boys Varsity suffered an own goal and fell to Douglas County opponent Alexander 0-1 at the Hound Pound on Monday night. |

Boys JV 5 - Lovett 0A balanced attack in the first half netted the Greyhounds five goals. Scorers included David Levinson (assist - Weiner), Daniel Mendel (assist - Weiner CK), Mitch Burns (assist - Piper), David Levinson (Piper's shot off crossbar) and Tony Benedetto (assist - Weiner). Boys Varsity 6 - Lovett 1In contrast to the first half scoring of the JV, the Varsity match was scoreless at halftime. A dramatic shift occurred when only 70 seconds into the second half Lovett scored the first goal of the match. But less than 45 seconds later Dan Kuegeman scored the equalizer. Then within a four minute span Pope scored three more times with one goal apiece from Mark Gabriel, Connor McCubrey (PK) and Harrison Fifield (assist - Kuegeman). In the last ten minutes of the match Chris Wolcoveick and Philip Lindenlaub added goals to give Pope a six goal performance for the second time in a week. |
